The Heart Hero Project is a 501(c)(3) NJ Nonprofit Corporation whose mission is to serve as a resource for families and individuals effected by HLHS. The Heart Hero Project will provide information, outreach, donations, and assistance to all of those who are impacted by HLHS, both in the medical field through research and treatments, and the community. The specific objectives and purpose of this organization shall include, but not limited to, the following:
- Providing local communities, families and individuals with educational resources and services regarding Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS);
- Providing local medical institutions and professionals, and scientific and medical research entities with financial assistance to develop, or continue to develop, new research and technologies that will greatly impact individuals, families, research entities, hospitals and medical facilities that are effected by HLHS;
- Providing small businesses and non-profit organizations with partnership, funding, and support to undertake actions, programs and initiatives to further support present and future individuals, families, research entities, hospitals and medical facilities that are effected by HLHS;
- Sponsor, host and/or participate in events to educate, raise awareness and collect donations to be able to provide financial support, resources and education to families and or individuals who are affected by HLHS.
